EU Innovation Fund

The EU Innovation Fund has €40billion to distribute to innovative, European based decarbonisation projects.  Projects are invited periodically to apply for funding via either annual Net Zero Technology calls or via annual Heat or Hydrogen Auctions.
The next calls are likely to open in Q4 2026, will close in early 2026 and are likely to be worth in excess of €5billion.

Verntex has assembled a team of ex EUIF application assessors who have, between them, assessed over 140 EUIF grant applications for projects worth over €30billion.

They are experts in understanding what separates an outstanding application from one which is merely mediocre.

We can assist clients in preparing outstanding applications for EU Innovation Fund grants and have specific expertise within:

  • carbon capture
  • circular chemicals
  • cement production
  • waste polymer and tyre pyrolysis
  • energy intensive industries
  • green hydrogen
  • green steel
  • green ammonia
  • solar power
  • power to X
  • biofuels
  • fuel cells and electrolysers
  • small modular nuclear reactors

No other consultancy come close to our level of experience and expertise with respect to EU Innovation Fund applications.
